The Early Learning Experts:
Makoto Shichida

Introduction

The main purpose of right-brain education is to bring out the potential and talents of children, already present in the right hemisphere of the brain. - Makoto Shichida

The late Makoto Shichida was a highly respected figure in Japan and around Asia. Outside Japan, early learning centers using the Shichida Method can be found in Malaysia and Singapore.

Shichida's revolutionary method incorporates techniques for stimulating children's brains as well as helping them to develop special abilities, between the ages of 3 months and 6 years.

The Shichida method has been used in Japan for over 25 years and is backed by 40 years of research into techniques used to stimulate the early development of the brain.

The method is based on the following principles:

  • All children are born geniuses.

  • Parent-child bonding is extremely important.

  • The right-brain dominance of very young children presents a unique opportunity for learning.

  • Children should be stimulated through all their five senses.

  • Repetition and consistency are the keys to success in teaching.
